Our Mission: Hunters Point Family prepares young people in San Francisco's most under-resourced neighborhoods to become adults who thrive. We provide safe passages to and from school, academic support, and culturally responsive enrichment activities that remove social barriers and open pathways to success.
Welcome to Hunters Point Family (HPF), where we empower youth and families in San Francisco's historically African American neighborhoods of Bayview/Hunters Point. Since our founding in 1997, we have been dedicated to providing supportive services that truly make a difference.
At HPF, we believe in the transformative power of love, passion, determination, and a sense of community. With these values at the core of our programs, we are reshaping the lives of society's most vulnerable individuals. Our focus is on youth enhancement and workforce development, reaching out to neighborhoods such as Bayview, Hunters Point, downtown, Tenderloin, Mission, and SOMA.
By embracing the Afrocentric principles of interconnectivity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith, we create a supportive environment for our youth to thrive. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to guide and support hundreds of vulnerable youth and young adults, helping them discover their best selves and become productive, self-sustaining members of our vibrant community.
